About the Journal

Human Biology is an international, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on research to increase understanding of human biological variation. Among the topics considered by the journal are anthropological, quantitative, evolutionary, and population genetics and genomics; Human Genetics, Biotechnological advances, Human ecology, human nutrition; demography and genetic epidemiology; Human Environmental biology, Human Growth and Development and Human Epidemiology

Human Biology published wide range of manuscripts but not limited to

Anthropology is a multifaceted social science that explores the diverse dimensions of human societies, cultures, and behaviors. It delves into the study of human evolution, biological diversity, linguistic variation, and the myriad of cultural practices that define our species.

Human population Genetics:

Human population genetics is the study of genetic variation within human populations. It explores how genes are distributed across different ethnic groups and regions, providing insights into our evolutionary history, migration patterns, and susceptibility to genetic diseases.

Ancient DNA studies

Ancient DNA studies involve the extraction and analysis of DNA from ancient human or non-human remains, like fossils or archaeological artifacts.

Human Population Biology

Human Population Biology is the study of living human beings as aggregate units. It is a transdisciplinary science and includes (among many other things) research on secular trends, geographical and spatial variation, seasonality and climate effects, ethnic and socio-cultural differences, and the consequences of war and displacement.

Human Anatomy

Human anatomy is the study of the structure and organization of the human body. It involves examining the body's various components, such as organs, tissues, bones, and muscles, to understand their form and function

Human Physiology

Human physiology is the study of the mechanical, physical, and biochemical functions and processes within the human body. It deal with several systems like Cardiovascular system, Nervous System, Respiratory and Excretory system, Maintaince of homeostasis etc.,

Human Infectious Diseases & Immunology

Includes research on the biology, prevention or control of infectious diseases in humans, immunology, molecular biology, virology, bacteriology, parasitology, and mycology.

Human Epidemiology

Human epidemiology is the study of how diseases and health-related conditions spread and affect human populations.

Human Nutrition & Lifestyle

Human Nutrition & Lifestyle embraces research relating to human nutrition from conception to old age. This includes principles of human nutrition, biomarkers of nutritional status, dietary assessment and diet quality, reference values, and contemporary issues in nutrition and lifestyle, such as breastfeeding, energy expenditure, socioecological determinants of nutritional status, nutritional needs according to lifestage (e.g., infancy, adolescence), eating behavior, global nutritional issues, the importance of nutritional intake for health and well-being, and the evolution of human diet.

Human Environmental Biology

This Includes research on the origins, functions, relationships, interactions, and natural history of living human populations, communities, and ecosystems in relation to dynamic environmental processes.
